Know Your Rancher: Why it's important
At 5 Bar Beef our meat inventory varies weekly because:
We are the ranchers that actually produce what we sell.
It is important for us to use the entire animal with no waste in the process.
We only sell beef because we believe that with 2800 acres, it is possible to raise one species well. We are not meat jobbers and do not buy our animals or meat from any outside source. Our goal at 5 Bar Beef is to produce the best premium grass-fed, grass-finished, pasture raised beef in Southern California, grown responsibly, beyond sustainably and according to nature.
With holistic planned grazing, our cattle are moved to new pastures every few days. This provides our cattle with clean food at all times and restores the soil, the environment , and the biodiversity of the ecosystems.
We believe that real food only comes from natural healthy sources. We produce food that we feel good about feeding ourselves and our family.

Really interested in being a new customer of yours. Love the idea of local and sustainable. Just saw on an environmental documentary about how kelp minimizes the methane emitted by cows and an extremely healthy food source for them. Passing along as something you might be interested in checking out. We have a whole lot of kelp out there.
